1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Ticketebook. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and Etellect Limited (trading as "Ticketebook") governing your use of our event ticketing and booking platform.
By accessing or using Ticketebook's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.
Important:
Please read these Terms carefully before using our platform. They contain important information about your rights and obligations, including limitations on liability and requirements to arbitrate disputes.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the Ticketebook website, applications, and related services
- "Services" means all ticketing, booking, and event management services provided by Ticketebook
- "Event Organiser" means any individual or entity that creates and manages events on our Platform
- "Ticket Buyer" or "Attendee" means any person who purchases tickets through our Platform
- "Event" means any activity, performance, or gathering for which tickets are sold via our Platform
- "Ticket" means the right of entry to an Event, whether physical or electronic
- "Credit" means the unit of currency used to pay for Platform services
- "We," "Us," "Our" refers to Etellect Limited (Company No. SC204571) trading as Ticketebook
3. Eligibility and Registration
3.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Services as an Event Organiser. Ticket Buyers under 18 may purchase tickets with parental consent, where permitted by applicable law.
3.2 Account Registration
When you register for an account, you must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Not share your account with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use
3.3 Business Accounts
If you register as a business or organisation:
- You represent that you have authority to bind that entity
- You agree to provide valid business documentation when requested
- You accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Our Services
4.1 Platform Functionality
Ticketebook provides:
- Event creation and management tools
- Ticket sales and distribution systems
- Payment processing services
- Attendee check-in and management
- Analytics and reporting tools
- Customer support
4.2 Service Availability
We strive to provide uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee:
- 100% uptime (target: 99.9%)
- Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
4.3 Changes to Services
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services
- Update features and functionality
- Change pricing structures (with notice to existing users)
5. Event Organiser Terms
5.1 Event Creation Responsibilities
As an Event Organiser, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring all event information is accurate and not misleading
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Obtaining necessary licences, permits, and insurance
- Venue arrangements and health & safety requirements
- Accurate capacity limits and accessibility information
- Clear refund and cancellation policies
5.2 Booking Fees
Revolutionary Feature:
Ticketebook allows Event Organisers to keep 100% of booking fees. You set optional booking fees per event, and all booking fee revenue goes directly to you. This is an industry-first feature that turns ticketing from a cost into a profit centre.
5.3 Platform Fees (Credits)
Event Organisers pay for Platform usage via our credit-based system:
- Credits are purchased in advance
- One credit = one ticket issued (paid or free)
- Credits are valid for 24 months

5.4 Payouts
We process payouts to Event Organisers:
- Ticket revenue is held securely until the event date
- Standard payout: Within 5-7 business days after the event
- Booking fees: Paid out with ticket revenue
- Refunded amounts are deducted from payouts
5.5 Event Cancellation or Postponement
If you cancel or postpone an event:
- You must notify ticket buyers immediately
- Refund obligations are your responsibility
- Platform credits used are non-refundable
- You must comply with your stated refund policy
6. Ticket Buyer Terms
6.1 Ticket Purchase
When you purchase tickets:
- You enter into a contract with the Event Organiser, not Ticketebook
- Ticketebook acts as an agent for ticket sales
- All ticket sales are final unless the Event Organiser's refund policy states otherwise
- You must provide accurate contact and billing information
6.2 Ticket Delivery
Tickets are typically delivered via:
- Email (PDF or eTicket)
- Mobile app (QR code)
- Postal delivery (if selected and available)
6.3 Entry to Events
To gain entry to an event:
- You must present a valid ticket (physical or electronic)
- Additional ID may be required
- Event Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry
- You must comply with venue rules and regulations
6.4 Ticket Transfer and Resale
Unless explicitly permitted by the Event Organiser:
- Tickets may not be resold for profit
- Unauthorised resale may result in ticket cancellation
- Ticket transfers may be permitted via Platform features
7. Payments and Fees
7.1 Payment Processing
We use secure third-party payment processors including:
- Etellect ePayment Services (rates from 1.2% + 15p)
- Stripe and other PCI-DSS compliant providers
7.2 Payment Methods
We accept:
- Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay)
- Other methods as made available
7.3 Fee Structure
For Event Organisers:
- Platform Fee: Credit-based (pay per ticket)
- Payment Processing: Variable depending on provider (typically 1.2%-1.5% + fixed fee)
- Booking Fees: 100% retained by Event Organiser
For Ticket Buyers:
- Ticket price (set by Event Organiser)
- Optional booking fee (if set by Event Organiser)
- Payment processing fees (typically included in booking fee)
7.4 Currency
All transactions are processed in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise stated. Currency conversion fees may apply for international transactions.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
8.1 Event Organiser Refund Policy
Each Event Organiser sets their own refund policy. Ticketebook is not responsible for refunds unless:
- The event is cancelled by the organiser
- There is a technical error in ticket issuance
- Required by law
8.2 Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled:
- The Event Organiser is responsible for issuing refunds
- Ticketebook will facilitate refund processing
- Platform fees (credits) are non-refundable
- Payment processing fees may not be refunded
8.3 Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are typically processed within:
- 5-10 business days to your original payment method
- Time may vary depending on your bank or card issuer
8.4 Consumer Rights
UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 may apply. Tickets for events are generally exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period for distance sales if the event occurs within that period.
9. User Conduct and Prohibited Uses
9.1 You Agree Not To:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Create fraudulent events or tickets
- Engage in ticket scalping or unauthorised resale
- Use automated tools to purchase tickets (bots)
- Interfere with Platform operations or security
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems
9.2 Enforcement
Violation of these Terms may result in:
- Account suspension or termination
- Cancellation of tickets
- Withholding of payouts
- Legal action
- Reporting to law enforcement
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Ticketebook Platform, including but not limited to:
- Software, code, and algorithms
- Trademarks, logos, and branding
- Design, layout, and user interface
- Content, text, and graphics
...are owned by or licensed to Etellect Limited and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
10.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (event descriptions, images, etc.) but grant us a licence to:
- Display and distribute your content on the Platform
- Use it for promotional purposes (with your permission)
- Store it on our servers
10.3 User-Generated Content
You represent and warrant that content you upload:
- Does not violate third-party rights
- Is not illegal, offensive, or harmful
- Complies with applicable laws
11. Limitation of Liability
Important Legal Notice:
Please read this section carefully. It limits our liability to you.
11.1 Platform Role
Ticketebook acts as an intermediary platform. We are not:
- The seller of tickets (Event Organisers are the sellers)
- Responsible for event quality, safety, or fulfilment
- Party to the contract between Event Organisers and Ticket Buyers
11.2 Exclusions and Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We provide the Platform "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of event information
- We are not liable for events that are cancelled, postponed, or misrepresented
- We are not responsible for disputes between users
- Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
11.3 Indirect Damages
We are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Loss of data or goodwill
- Service interruptions or technical failures
11.4 Exceptions
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any liability that cannot be excluded by UK law
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ticketebook, Etellect Limited, and our affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Events you organize (for Event Organisers)
- Your conduct at events (for Ticket Buyers)
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Contacting customer support
- Using account closure features in your dashboard
13.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your account shows fraudulent activity
- Required by law or court order
- You fail to pay fees owed
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Platform ceases immediately
- Obligations to pay fees remain in effect
- Existing ticket obligations must be honoured
- Unused credits may be refunded at our discretion
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14.2 Disputes Between Users
Disputes between Event Organisers and Ticket Buyers should be resolved directly between the parties. Ticketebook may assist but is not obligated to mediate.
14.3 Disputes with Ticketebook
For disputes with Ticketebook:
- First Step: Contact customer support to resolve informally
- Mediation: If unresolved, consider alternative dispute resolution
- Litigation: Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction
14.4 Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights under UK consumer protection laws.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ticketebook.
15.2 Amendments
We may modify these Terms at any time:
- Notice of changes will be posted on the Platform
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- Material changes will be communicated via email
15.3 Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
15.4 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
15.5 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to any affiliate or successor.
15.6 Third-Party Rights
These Terms do not confer rights on any third party (except as explicitly stated).
