How do I add a booking fee to my event?

When creating an event, you'll see an option to add a booking fee. You choose the amount (flat fee or percentage) and it's automatically added at checkout. The fee is clearly displayed to customers before they complete their purchase.

Do credits expire?

No! Your credits are valid for 24 months from purchase. If you use more than 1,000 credits per month, they automatically roll over and remain valid indefinitely.

What if I run out of credits?

Simply purchase more credits at any time. Your pricing tier is based on your total lifetime purchases, so you'll always get the best rate.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees! The credit price covers ticket sales. Optional add-ons: Email marketing (£0.01/email) and SMS (£0.05/message) are available separately on a credit basis.

How much do email marketing and SMS cost?

Email marketing costs £0.01 per email, and SMS costs £0.05 per message. These are optional credit-based add-ons, separate from your ticket credits.

Are free events really free?

Free events use the same credit system - each registration uses 1 credit at your standard rate. This ensures transparent, consistent pricing across all event types.

Can I get a refund on unused credits?

While credits don't expire, we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of purchase.

How does payment work?

Ticketebook uses Etellect's integrated ePayment service offering competitive rates from 1.2% + 15p per transaction (vs Stripe's 1.5% + 20p). You can link your existing acquirer account, use our acquirer facility, or connect Stripe/alternative providers.
